GOOD TIME DOLE LINE Good time dole line Working like the devil I’m still as poor as hell The past three years I’ve been living in debt When I clear won’t work for the man so well I guess I’ll join the dole line I know it’ll just be the breadline But maybe I’ll be happy again Maybe I’ll be happy again The bosses daughter she’s a real feline But she said I shouldn’t even look Her father told me that if I did My feet wouldn’t even touch I guess he means the dole line And I know it will just be the breadline but Maybe I’ll be happy again Maybe I’ll be happy again You know working all day and only playing at night Never did me too much Earning big money when I don’t need a lot I’ll let myself a worry now far too much I guess I’ll join the dole line I know it will just be the breadline Maybe I’ll be happy again Maybe I’ll be happy again The bosses daughter she’s a real feline …

Hat 02:42
HAT That’s right you got it right that’s tight through the night When I look in the mirror I like what I see Why can’t people be as lovely as me With my hat on my head on my tie around my neck And an amp by my side I am like Jeff Beck I am a brilliant mathematician I am leading scientist Well I don’t get fooled by no one And I never get pissed The guitar in my hand just looks like a rod Cut the formalities and call me God I don’t need to work I’m clever that way I don’t need a job because the dole will pay I’m a brilliant mathematician I’m a leading scientist Well I don’t get fooled by no one And I never get pissed Get pissed 8x Well I’m far too clever to talk to you Get out of my way you spoil my view Eat my bread and drink my wine And I’ll steal your songs and call them mine I’m a brilliant mathematician I’m a leading scientist Will I don’t get fooled by no one And I never get pissed

about

Formed in 1978 in Hull, the short living Punkrockers Flash Mongels (some gig promoters may remember them by their innocent moniker The Gus Willson Band) played hundreds of gigs, busted their livers, but never managed to release anything... until today!
This release features 3 brilliant studio tracks, recorded in ’78, starting with the raucous smash hit "Good Time Dole Line", followed by Punk stomper "Thouroughly Nice" and the catchy Powerpopper "Hat" on side B. Don’t miss it!
